Twenty five 1 000 scholarships go to children of basin electric or its subsidiary employees. Northern plains electric cooperative and basin electric power cooperatives are offering a 1 000 scholarship to a dependent of a member of northern plains electric for the 2020 2021 school year. To be eligible the student must be currently in college or entering college in fall 2019. Eligible applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a full time graduate or undergraduate program at an accredited two year or four year college university or vocational technical school.

Basin electric is a consumer owned and controlled regional cooperative responsible for supplying wholesale electric power to nine midwestern states. Basin electric offers scholarships for dependent children of employees of basin electric and its subsidiaries who are in college or will be entering college in the fall.
