Install a 10 gauge wire to the battery positive terminal with the use of a round electrical connector.
30 amp relay wiring diagram electric fan.
Each should have the capacity of a single fan.
Find a spot to secure the relay with a screw or a bolt.
I want to wire it like post 11 diagram 2.
This wiring diagram uses three relays.
I would think 85 would be connected to 30.
It shows the dash switch relay terminal 85 to 87.
As you can see from the diagrams above and below it s really a simple circuit that not only provides the proper connections to control the cooling fans but unlike the switch under the dash method you won t ever have to worry.
30 amp fuse 86 30 87 85 optional 2nd relay overrides temp sensor and turns on fan when a c is turned on temp sensor switch in radiator coolant or optional adjustable fan.
Wiring a electric fan with a relay i am getting ready to wire my electric fans and did some searching and found this thread.
Ok here is a true 2 speed fan control.
Each relay will control a single fan and a 30 amp fuse is recommended for each relay connection to the battery.
87 red wire connects to the positive wire on the electric fan.
But i have a question about this wiring diagram.
30 other red wire needs constant 12 volt power from the battery.
That doesn t seem right.
Lets say we put both fans in series.
Fan speed control the idea here is that fans are 12 volt motors and typically will work at reduced capacity at a lower voltage.
Purchase a 4 post relay with a 30 amp rating.
